Description
Six pages of handwritten notes taken from "Wheelers Manchester Chronicle" with details of two sales by auction to be held at the Bulls Head Inn, Marple.
1. To be held on 18th October 1823. Lot 1. A farm called Lum House in the occupation of Joseph Shawcross or his undertenants, with barn and outbuildings and certain closes of land. Lot 2. A farm called Dish Throwers in the occupation of Joseph Shawcross with a good dwelling house, barn, outbuildings and closes of land. Lot 3. A farm called Hill Top in the occupation of John Cooper with a good dwelling house, outbuildings and closes of land. Lot 4. Two closes of land, part of Hill Top Farm.
2, To be held on 17th November 1823, a sale of valuable timber including oak, ash, alder, willow, etc. Lot 1 growing on Wibbersley Hall Farm, Lots 2 and 3 near Wet Earth Wood and Lots 4 to 9 in Ley Hey Wood.
