July 16th (no year) 'Council OK for Brabyns Park pavilion - at last' The full council approved a scheme for a pavilion costing £33,000. This would provide changing facilities in a multi-purpose pavilion and a caretaker's flat.
1971: 'Reprieve for Brabyns Park pavilion' Stockport Recreation & Culture Committee had proposed the pavilion's closure except at weekends to save £4,000 a year but a petition against closure was to be presented to the committee for their reconsideration.
1980 : 'Full rejection of camping proposals in Brabyns Park' There had been a strong reaction from Marple residents on the grounds of the need for toilet facilities and piped water and the likelihood of litter.
