Five pages of correspondence and photocopy of coat of arms found painted on stone recovered from demolition rubble of Marple Hall.
Correspondence between the Heraldry Society and Arundel Castle Trustees Limited, Librarian to the Duke of Norfolk investigating its origin. 1992 & 1993.
Conclusion was that the painting was a mystery as there are inaccuracies that bear no connection to local families.
