Mr Dobson attended the archive group in 2024 with a flint arrowhead that had been found in the garden of 296 Stockport Road which is the house he grew up in as a child. He was encouraged by the Society to put pen to paper as a Marple resident of long standing to record his memories of Marple as it was seventy years ago.
