Bequests were made to his son and heir Henry; to his son John all his lands in Bowdon Midlecale and Mellor, to his son William all his lands in Chappell le Frith and Buggesworth; to his three youngest sons Godfrey, Francis and Joseph, his wife Anne and to his daughters Barbara, Catherine, Dorothy, Rachell and Anne. An inventory lists his possessions ranging from horses and mares £36. 0 s 0d to trunks, chest, arke and boxes 6s 8d.
