1. Original Newspaper cutting from North Cheshire Herald dated 25 June 1937 reporting on the demolition of Peace Farm and a much older black and white structured building found within. At this time a section of the inner building, 12 feet long and 4 feet wide was removed for safe keeping.

2. Typed extract from High Peak Reporter and North Cheshire Herald "Age Bows to Progress" 18 June 1937, describing the demolition of Peace Farm as "the first practical step in Marple's slum clearance scheme" behind which will be seen "an enterprising Council and a brand new housing estate".
3. Typed extract from High Peak Reporter "Marple's Oldest Building" 25 June 1937 describing demolition of Peace Farm and finding beneath outer stonework "a massive oak framework, its sections packed with a brick hard clay on a binding surface of wattle".
